We went to a fireworks show in Peoria. It was very, very crowded. There were police officers on horseback patroling the crowds. About 30 minutes before the
fireworks started some people letting little kids play with sparklers a few rows behind us. One of the officers rode his horse INTO THE CROWD to tell them to
stop. Well, the horse got spooked and trampled one of the kids! The horse then tried to run away and nearly ran me over! The officer got the horse under
control and led it out of the crowd. They got the EMTs over to eximine the kid, and they took the child to the hospital. The kid will be fine. I didn't
see how badly the kid was hurt, but we suspect the child was more scared than hurt. What was the officer thinking riding his horse into a crowd like that!!
That was just stupid and irresponsible!!! That child could've been killed!!!! Parents letting their kids play with sparklers in the middle of a crowd was
irresponisble too! What is wrong with people these days?!
