Paul, you don't understand because you're under the mistaken belief that you've reconciled yourself to God.
I kept His sabbaths, and still keep them, Midgie.

Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you:
every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death:
for whosoever doeth any work therein,
that soul shall be cut off from among His people.

Exodus 31:14

That's not possible without the Cross of Christ!
I endured in the feasts of the tabernacles for much longer than the 1,335 days, Midgie,
because no Christians ever taught me right, and I was still learning,
so I didn't know.

Blessed is he that waiteth,
and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days
.
Daniel 12:12

"And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto Me."
When I lifted Him up, then I knew Jesus was the Son of man,
and nothing like what them in the Churches say.

Then said Jesus unto them,
When ye have lifted up the Son of man,
then shall ye know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself;
but as My Father hath taught Me, I speak these things.

John 8:28

"And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.
I did this after I was baptised,
by following the Holy Ghost into the wilderness,
to be tempted of satan (and resist him),
even as Jesus did.

Then the devil leaveth Him,
and, behold, angels came and ministered unto Him.

Matthew 4:11

When the people of Israel were afflicted with serpents in the wilderness because of their sin, God instructed Moses: "Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and every one who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live."
Jesus gave me power to tread on the serpents,
because I was willing to keep the law.

Behold,
I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions,
and over all the power of the enemy:
and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Luke 10:19

The bronze serpent points to the Cross of Christ which defeats sin and death and obtains everlasting life for those who believe.
And you people forget, Jesus points to the law.
To the commandments of the Father.

If they hear not Moses and the prophets,
neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

Luke 16:31

The result of Jesus "being lifted up on the Cross" and His rising and exaltation to the Father's right hand in heaven, is our new birth in the Spirit and adoption as sons and daughters of God.
Lift Him up for real, by silencing your flesh,
not by pretending you are lifting Him back up onto their crucifix.

Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD:
for He is raised up out of His holy habitation.

Zechariah 2:13

God not only redeems us, but He fills us with His own divine life and power that we might share in His glory.
This promise is reserved for them that keep His law.

Not for them who would crucify Him all over again,
rather than do His Father's will.

And it shall come to pass,
if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God,
to observe and to do all His commandments which I command thee this day,
that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

Deuteronomy 28:1

Jesus gives us the Holy Spirit that we may have power to be His witnesses and to spread and defend the gospel by word and action,
And the Catholic CHURCH gives us a Cross, for an image to worship,
their gospel is three words long. "Must have faith."

He that hath My commandments, and keepeth them,
he it is that loveth Me:
and he that loveth Me shall be loved of My Father,
and I will love him, and will manifest Myself to him.

John 14:21

and to never be ashamed of Christ's Cross.
I'm not ashamed to offer up His words,
to teach the law.

Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of Me and of My words
in this adulterous and sinful generation;
of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed,
when He cometh in the glory of His Father
with the holy angels.

Mark 8:38

But I'm ashamed of the human race, for having hung Jesus on a cross.
"But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; upon Him was the chastisement that made us whole, and with His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all."
If His children forsake My law,
and walk not in My judgments;
If they break My statutes,
and keep not My commandments;
Then will I visit their transgression with the rod,
and their iniquity with stripes.

Psalm 89:30-32

And their understanding of the word is perished,
even as their soul is perished from the land,
when they forsake His commandments.

Jesus is the Holy One of Israel. Heart
`Paul

Why should ye be stricken any more?
ye will revolt more and more:
the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.
From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it;
but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores:
they have not been closed,
neither bound up,
neither mollified with ointment.
Isaiah 1:5-6
