ree, Do you truly understand:"But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." ~ Hebrews 11:6
Yes, the real presence of Christ's Spirit that dwells in my heart, soul and mind gives me, as it does anyman(not just the highly venerable ones )the faith to make that possible.(not of ourselves) lest any man boast in some private revelation/interpretation which is not scripture.
Without that exclusive faith (Christ's) it would be impossible to please Him. Because he whosover is being drawn by that faith (the one that comes to Him)must acknowledge it is Him we are hearing and not what some call patron saint as workers with familair spirtis in regard to legion of invisible entities. In that verse you offered the living word of God is teaching us saints (all Christians) that the faith to believe God comes from hearing God and not the church, as if they were in the place of God, as the one authority thereof. The fact that it is He that has paid the reward of our wages (all of them) as the rewarded.. we therfore understand that faith generated by His work according to His labor of love at Calvary(not purgatory) alone as that which can give us the authority by which we can seek Him. If He did not pay the eternal wage in all its entirety, no man could seek Him, for He must first give us the understanding of what He is saying..
Do you think God does not know your heart, Garee?
Yes, He knows the heart of every man. Its why we enquire and seek of Him as the one and only invisible entity we are allowed to seek by faith. Some seek after, in worship, a legion of workers with familiar spirits that they call patron saints. But praying to an entity we cannot see just shows a person is not seeking the revealed will of God but the kind of will (of men) that make up secret revelations which scripture refers to as private interpretations. Seeing they are not loosed from heaven as a doctrine of God falling like rain we do no heed to that voice.
Do you think He does not see you only read the Scriptures out of curiosity and not out of a true desire to KNOW Him?
My curiously came by what He calls the hearing of faith. And as His Spirit witnesses to my spirit the desire to seek Him comes by hearing Him, for no man can come to the Father (in heaven) unless He is drawing them through His faith. He gives us full confidence that if we do get numble ourselves under the authority of the hearing of faith, He will in no wise cast us out. God does not say now that I have given you a desire to seek me , I was just kidding, go to hell. All of His eternal promises are yes and yes.It is not enough for anyone to simply know "about" God! He wants us to desire HIM!!!Coming from someone who makes John 6:45 to no effect through one of thier officail, sacred, oral tradition of thier fathers(ecf's) because they say our Father in heaven cannot teach all that He is drawing by faith, because we need to seek after the "law of the fathers"(plural) first it very telling. Remember one is our Holy Father,Holy Papa in heaven not a succssion of fathers falsely given the authority that alone belongs to our Father in heaven.Knowing about God, though…. “I heard it through the grape vine” is not knowing God any more than knowing the next store neighbor without actually having a personal relationship and letting him reveal his own person. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.1 Corinthians 2:11
"And ye shall seek ME, and find ME, when ye shall search for ME with all your heart."~ Jeremiah 29:13Pride comes before the fall, Garee! Humble yourself. You're too puffed up and prideful in your knowledge of the Scriptures instead of just acknowledging you know nothing as you ought to know it! (1 Cor 8:2)
Pride comes from going beyond what is written (God’s Word), because in pride some believe, as it is written, is to narrow of an authority to follow after.. Remember as it teaches us we humble ourselves under the understanding we receive from Him. Looking for the approval of God as our way of knowing God in a personal relationship (not knowing about God) rather after seeking the approval of men is not to seek after God, but the understanding that comes from men. He can heal a broken heart as our one comforter, infallible teacher and guide.
"The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit."~ Psalms 34:18
