Catholics quote them, Cheezit, as proof that the Church's understanding/interpretaion of Scripture is in line with the continuity of Teachers throughout Early Christianity, but you know that, don't you?

Christians of any denoination are made aware of that, as that what you refer to as the "continuity of Teachers" with capitol T, as word that means Master. Just as in the same way by the "law of the fathers" you capitalize Holy Father in accordance to your Holy Father the Pope with a capitol “F” . And according to their official documents, as "it" teaches you, you therefore must according to the "law of the fathers", abide in them, sinful men .

But according to the Christian's official document (Bible) in several place informs us but speaks directly to the issue in 1 John 2. It warns us of them under the "law of the fathers" (men) and therefore we abide in our Father in heaven, as it, his official document Christians call the Bible, teaches us.

In the end of the matter a person must choose which officiating doctrine is of men and which is of God? Is the church in the place of God?

These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as "it" hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.1 John2:26-27
