Thank you, Sweetie.
Why didn't you quote the rest of it, Paul? At least finish the sentence!

"But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;  Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,  For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;  According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust."
~ 1 Timothy 1:8-11
The law is for me, Midgie.

I do not allow myself to consider me perfect and 100% righteous, as you Christians do,
and leave myself open to correction, and guidance by the law.

I didn't quote it all,
because I wanted to affirm the point that St Paul makes in the first phrase.

Wherefore the law is holy,
and the commandment holy,
and just, and good.
Was then that which is good made death unto me?
God forbid.

Romans 7:12-13

Ask the Lord to write His Laws on your heart, Paul!

"But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put My law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be My people."
~Jeremiah 31:33
I laid up His words in my heart, as He commanded,
that the Lord could write the meanings.

And since I lay not up what Christians and Catholics say,
these now say to me that I am the deceived one.

Therefore shall ye lay up these My words
in your heart and in your soul,
and bind them for a sign upon your hand,
that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.

Deuteronomy 11:18

Receive, I pray thee, the law from His mouth,
and lay up His words in thine heart.

Job 22:22
Ask Jesus to remove your very evil, evil heart and replace it with a heart of flesh and a new spirit.
How about you ask Jesus to remove Catholicism from your heart,
and show you what the Father's will is.

I beseech you therefore, brethren,
by the mercies of God,
that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice,
holy, acceptable unto God,
which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world:
but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that ye may prove
what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Romans 12:1-2

" A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh."
~ Ezekiel 36:26
I have a heart, and spirit, to keep all the commandments.

O that there were such an heart in them,
that they would fear Me, and keep all My commandments always,
that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!

Deuteronomy 5:29

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
~ 2 Corinthians 5:17
And he that keepeth His commandments dwelleth in Him,
and He in him.
And hereby we know that He abideth in us,
by the Spirit which He hath given us.

1 John 3:24

Bless God, Heart Throb
and then He will bless you.

Thank you, Cheezit.

Paul, you offer us YOUR understanding of the Scriptures as if we should simply accept what you say when you pick and choose what you will believe from the Bible! You obviously expect Catholics to simply kow-tow to YOUR understanding of the Scriptures????
Do you have any idea just how identical that statement is to how Catholics act?  Let me demonstrate.
Catholics offer us their understanding of the Scriptures as if all non-Catholics should simply accept what they say when they pick and choose what they will believe from the Bible! Catholics obviously expect non-Catholics to simply kow-tow to THEIR understanding of the Scriptures.
Whether you can see it or admit it or not, that is EXACTLY how you appear.
Well said.

When they do offer up the Lord's flesh,
it is to back their statements, which were simply condemnations against another.
They're not teaching the world what the word says.

Only be thou strong and very courageous,
that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law,
which Moses My servant commanded thee:
turn not from it to the right hand or to the left,
that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.

Joshua 1:8

Catholics are a lot more tolerant of heretics and schismatics today than the Early Church was!
It's a good thing.  Things like the inquisition and the crusades would be severely frowned on today.
They have to just do it in spirit and word, these days.

And that is not how Jesus loved.

If ye keep My commandments, ye shall abide in My love;
even as I have kept My Father's commandments, and abide in His love.

John 15:10

After bashing down my faith in God's word as being evil hearted,
Midgie writes.

Cheezit, the difference being is that Catholics don't hunt anybody down to bash their faith as is done to Catholics. I would hope you can see the difference.
The judgment is how people can learn what God's will is,
isn't it?

When they are able to receive correction, and reproof.

But the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

Psalm 1:5

And in controversy they shall stand in judgment;
and they shall judge it according to My judgments:
and they shall keep My laws and My statutes in all Mine assemblies;
and they shall hallow My sabbaths.
Ezekiel 44:24

Cheezit again.

Oh good grief.  Cry me a flippin river.  What in the world do you expect?  Non Catholics don't need to "hunt Catholics down" to "bash their faith".  The Catholic church is the worlds largest denomination and it has numerous doctrines that either can not be found in Scripture or are contrary to Scripture.  Oh sure, Catholics are very adept at denying the facts or making elaborate excuses, but that doesn't change anything.  As blatant as some of your UN-Scriptural beliefs are, you may as well put up a giant neon sign that says "COME ON IN AND FIND FAULT WITH OUR BELIEFS".
And to everyone who does like that, the Lord sends His saints,
to rebuke them.

The LORD shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke,
in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do,
until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly;
because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken Me.

Deuteronomy 28:20

Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God,
in not keeping His commandments,
and His judgments, and His statutes, which I command thee this day:
Deuteronomy 8:11

Had2 had to ask.
cheezit wrote -Non Catholics don't need to "hunt Catholics down" to "bash their faith".

THEN WHY ARE YOU HERE?
We are here to offer you the Lord's flesh.

Then he shall minister in the name of the LORD his God,
as all his brethren the Levites do,
which stand there before the LORD.

Deuteronomy 18:7

Midgie again.

Cheezit, you non-Catholics come here specifically to bash the faith of Catholics.
Because your faith was supposed to be in God, and His word.
But you fell for a Church.

And many among them shall stumble,
and fall,
and be broken,
and be snared,
and be taken.

Isaiah 8:15

Catholics do not do that to anybody!
Catholics only call us "Gnostics", and "fundies", and "evil hearted", and "deceived",
and forget to say, "believe Jesus".

Correction is grievous unto her that forsaketh the way:
and she that hateth reproof shall die.

Proverbs 15:10

We do defend our faith, though, as you see very clearly right on this very board.
Against the truths which the non-Catholics offer you.

But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee;
Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house:
open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.

Ezekiel 2:8

If you want to come here to bash our faith, then don't whine that we're always ready to give an answer for why we believe what we do.
If your god is such that he needs you to defend him,
then change your god.

When you scourge [tongue lash] me,  Jesus comes to my defence.

So shall I have wherewith to answer her that reproacheth me:
for I trust in Thy word.

Psalm 119:42

Take it or leave it, but stop whining about it!
All the kindreds of the world wail because of Him.
Even so, Amen.

Hearken unto Me, ye that know righteousness,
the people in whose heart is My law;
fear ye not the reproach of men,
neither be ye afraid of their revilings.

Isaiah 51:7

Hearken to the Lord's words

Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness:
ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.
Isaiah 58:4

Garee.

 I actually posted it and something happened. I will try again if you are interested in looking at my opinion?
They keep asking us their testing questions,
when they are not whining that we're just bashing them.

In Mine ears said the LORD of hosts, Of a truth many houses shall be desolate,
even great and fair, without inhabitant.

Isaiah 5:9

Had2 again.

Sure post away garee... I always enjoy a good laugh.
Woe unto you that laugh now!
for ye shall mourn and weep.
Luke 6:25

Where is the first century reformation found in the Bible garee?
Preach the word;
be instant in season, out of season;
reprove,
rebuke,
exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;
but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth,
and shall be turned unto fables.

2 Timothy 4:2-4

Ever since the reformation,
the Christian churches went on to be condemners of all who won't eat their flesh.

It appears that they have long ago clean forgotten
they were meant to offer up the Lord's flesh.
And praises to His name.

Praise the Lord Heart Throb
`Paul

Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD:
His going forth is prepared as the morning;
and He shall come unto us as the rain,
as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
