The sabbaths are His sign to me, Midgie,

that I know that I know Him,
and not the god of the Christians.

Does anybody ever consider referring to God's word
for understanding of what the NT apostles were saying?

Do you?
Do you read my posts?
And do you eat the wafers that are in them?

Your questions to me, suggest that you don't.

Paul, it is those who hunger and thirst for righteousness who will be filled!
Because they are who eat the Lord's flesh,
in spite of what Catholics say.

It is God Himself Who fills us!
Only if they eat that which He gave.

But not if they eat what a Church gives them instead.

You go about to establish your own righteousness through the letter of the law, but the righteousness of Christians is found through the Spirit of faith in Christ Jesus!
I preach to keep God's law.
And the Lord is the one who established it, in the beginning.
Not me.

As the Scriptures say, Paul:

"I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain."
~ Galatians 2:21
Jesus only manifests Himself to me when I do the commandments,
as God's word commands.

Truly, consider:

"This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?"
~ Galatians 3:2
I received the Spirit through doing the works of the law, as God's word says to.

I believe you had some kind of an encounter with the Lord years ago, Paul.
I call on Him regularly, and He comes.

I consult Him, if there is something about His laws I don't understand.

If so, you were doing nothing but seeking and questioning at the time. Is that right?
I invoke the Lord through making the sabbaths, as He says to.
I afflict my soul, and make offerings made by fire.

You did not earn it nor were you worthy of it.
I believe that the Lord won't appear to them, if they do not deserve it in His eyes.

And He makes them believe in a Church,
that lie and say they are a child of His, when they aren't really.

You most likely were hungering and thirsting for righteousness, but you were NOT keeping any commandments!
I was not hungering for the commandments as Catholics, or Christians, speak of them.

I do the commandments as they are written in the books of Moses and the Gospels,
and as my Comforter from Jesus teaches me.

The Lord just gave you a taste of His Spirit to draw you to Himself.
I speak His words, which you believe kills,
because He gave me not the Spirit by measure.

Instead of keeping your focus on Jesus, you had itching ears and heaped upon yourself teachers that led you away from Christ Himself!
Instead of focusing on what a particular Church says,
I stayed on Jesus' word, that is written in the scriptures.

Do a study on the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ!
Why not, you hear what Jesus said? the Lord's word in your Bible.

Romans 3:22  Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

Romans 5:17  For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

Romans 5:21  That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 8:10  ¶And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

Romans 10:4  For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Romans 10:6  But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

1 Corinthians 1:30  But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

Galatians 2:21  I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Philippians 1:11  Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

Philippians 3:9  ¶And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

2 Peter 1:1  ¶Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
And I know, them who are filled with the law
are the same who are filled with God's righteousness.

And them who are filled with Catholicism, or Christianity,
are the same who confess to us that "Being a Christian is not just about following commandments".

In those that repent, God renews His covenant with them.

No, that is not the NEW thing God has done, Paul!
That is what He done to me,
when He first started coming to me.

Jesus comes at the end of doing the law for righteousness,
to everyone who believes.

The new thing is the new Spirit God places within us so that the Law is not something outside of ourselves we strive to keep but part of our new nature in Christ!
I had to lay up all His words in my heart and soul, as He says in the law,
for His Spirit to make the law within me, and me within the law.

"He that believeth on Me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.  (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on Him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)"
~ John 7:38

"And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh..."
~ Ezekiel 11:19

"Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life."
~ 2 Corinthians 3:6
Why do you bother quoting scripture,
if your preach is that being Christian is not about following His commandments?

But I know why you deliberately avoid those verses
where Jesus, St Paul, and St John, say to keep all the commandments, to be lawful.

You preach the letter which kills, Paul, when you should be preaching the Spirit which gives life!
I know that scripture is the letter from the Spirit.

And believe that what Christians and Catholics write
is the letter which strives to kill the law, in the eyes of men.

You offered up some scriptures, to denounce those verses which I quoted as being "the letter which kills",
but the wafers I offered up, are from the same body of words that is given.

And what nation is there so great,
that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law,
which I set before you this day?

Deuteronomy 4:8

The Roman Catholic nation?
(I don't believe so)

Bless the Lord Heart Throb
Being a believer IS all about keeping God's commandments,
and the unbelievers' righteousness is not God's righteousness, while ever they are preaching against the commandments
`Paul

Yet they seek Me daily,
and delight to know My ways,
as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God:
they ask of Me the ordinances of justice;
they take delight in approaching to God.
Isaiah 58:2
