The Church, instituted by the Lord and confirmed by the Apostles, is one for all men; but the frantic folly of the diverse impious sects has cut them off from her.
The church is instituted exclusively by the word of God and confirmed by the word of God. And heresy does not cut off one from her (the bride) but from Him our husband the one that finished the work in six days.
Christians are made aware of those kind of wiles of the devil. Had2, have you not learned in the apostles not to cut oneself off from God by going above that which is written. Will you continue to ignore that warning and in eachange in vain puff up your demoination above the others and call that Christian unity?
1Co 4:6 And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.
It cannot be denied that this tearing asunder of the faith has arisen from the defect of poor intelligence, which twists what is read to conform to its opinion, instead of adjusting its opinion to the meaning of what is read.
Hmmmm… The doctrine of poor intelligence verses the intelligence of the philosophers who usurp the authority of God?
Its not about intelligence, its about God’s perfect (complete) law, He does not offer philosophical opinions. It’s His perfect law that can convert any mans soul by a work of his faith, so that the simply ones, like myself, can have the light of His continence and therefore illuminate our understand as what He does inform us. Seeing no man can seek Him if He does not first and foremost give them the light to make it possible.
Psa 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
However, while individual parties fight among themselves, the Church stands revealed not only by her own doctrines, but by those also of her adversaries. And although they are all ranged against her, she confutes the most wicked error which they all share, by the very fact that she is alone and One.
All the heretics, therefore, come against the Church; but while all the heretics can conquer each other, they can win nothing for themselves.
Again if we do sin or error in our studying habits to seek the approval of God. It is not against the church, the stewards and caretakers of the living word of God, which alone is the churches’ final authority in matters of real faith and morals.. The church in no way shape or form are considered co-authors, editors or those who can effect what is written. Because clearly, as it is written as it teaches us, we abide in Him, and not men, just as He commands us and warns us of those who say; we need them to teach us by pretending there is a daysman (pope) between man and God, because, obviously somehow or other God cannot keep the promise that He made that He would as his real presence of His Spirit dwells in us He will teach, guide and comfort us.
These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it “hath taught” you, ye shall abide in him. 1Jo 2:26
For their victory is the triumph of the Church over all of them.
Rom 11:36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
One heresy struggles against that teaching of another, which the faith of the Church has already condemned in the other heresy, for there is nothing which the heretics hold in common, and the result is that they affirm our faith while fighting among themselves."
Your denomination stands on the same fallow groung as any other you are only deciving yoursef if you think the opinion you offer in commentarry form are of a higher authority than any other mans opinion that they glean from the word .
Saint Hilary of Poitiers... The Trinity, 7:4, 356 A.D., Jurgens, "The Faith of the Early Fathers", 865
It’s the faith of our Holy, Father, Papa, Holy See in Heaven our home, not Rome, as the one faith spoken of in the scriptures. For one is not a legion as the catholics espouse in vain..
Mat 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
Now why again do the Catholic according to the law of the fathers, capitalize the word Father as in .....The Faith of the Early Fathers?
