Now you can correct me if I am wrong, but are not "Matthew,John, Mark, and Luke" dead? Should we, using the same understanding as you wrote about Augustine to these 4 men? Is not Mr. Paul dead too? And Mr. James, Mr. Peter? Your ignorance is beyond my understanding. And before you go into a trirate a "the living word" I must caution you here again about the errors in your bible. And using your logic, should we throw out the Constitution of the United States? Or the Declaration of Independence too? Should we just disavow any and all writings of all who are dead? Wake up and join the real Christian world. Gagee, while I have disagreed with everything you have written, I did see a person with some intelligence. Then you go and write the above, making sure that you don't use the word Saint before Augustine's name. What a child you are. But I guess you don't believe in St. Paul when he says,: "When I was a child I played with childish things, but now I am a man and I have put away my childish things". You can't believe in that for two reasons. First, it was the Catholic Church that put together the Bible as we know it. And second, St. Paul is dead and "should we not a people seek unto their God exclusively through His living word, the scriptures ( only you would use lower case when invoking the Scriptures) for the living to the dead?" Do you even understand what that sentence means?
