Popes #33-#110 (AD 314 - AD 885)
41 sainted out of 78 = 52 % sainted

Popes #111-#265 (AD 885 - AD 2005)
5 sainted out of 155 = 3% sainted

Why so many saintly Popes during the era of the ecumenical councils, and so few saintly Popes afterward ?

Quote:
Thats not complely true.

I gave the answer.
Ray's "answer" is no answer at all, since Ray disputed the statistics, but didn't offer any alternative statistics.

If 41 sainted out of 78 isn't "completely true", then what numbers are completely true ?

Popes #33-#110 (AD 314 - AD 885):
Less than 41 sainted out of 78 is completely true?
42-45 sainted is completely true ?
46-50 sainted is completely true ?
51-60 sainted is completely true ?
61-70 sainted is completely true ?
71-77 sainted is completely true ?
all 78 sainted is completely true ?

If 5 sainted out of 155 isn't completely true, then what numbers are completely true ?

Popes #111-#265 (AD 885 - AD 2005)
0- 4 sainted is completely true ?
6-10 sainted is completely true ?
10-20 sainted is completely true ?
21-30 sainted is completely true ?
31-40 sainted is completely true ?
41-50 sainted is completely true ?
51-60 sainted is completely true ?
61-70 sainted is completely true ?
71-80 sainted is completely true ?
81-90 sainted is completely true ?
91-100 sainted is completely true ?
101-110 sainted is completely true ?
111-120 sainted is completely true ?
121-130 sainted is completely true ?
131-140 sainted is completely true ?
141-150 sainted is completely true ?
151-155 sainted is completely true ?

Now you changed the subject to Popes who are not canonized saint!
The askacatholic.com list in the top post lists both canonized and uncanonized. Asking a question about that list is staying on subject.

Quote:
That has nothing to do with succession.
Why does the askacatholic.com's list show so many saintly successors to Saint Peter AD 314-AD 885 and so few saintly successors to Saint Peter after AD 885 ?

The only ways for Ray to dispute the "many" versus "few" observation would be for Ray to perform many canonizations to get the "few" up to "many", or for Ray to decanonize the "many" so that they are down to "few".

I ask one simple question and you won't give me an answer.
Do not expect to be rewarded, if you willfully attempt to stray from this topic of Apostolic Succession.

Now you want me to go on?
Go on straying from this topic of Apostolic Sucession ? Nope, sure don't.
