Had2,

Tradition and Holy Scripture taken together are known in Catholicism as
'The Deposit of Faith'

Thank you, I was not aware of that term.

When Jesus spoke to His Apostles, He spoke orally. He did not write to them
or give them a book to read. The Apostles spoke the words of Jesus Christ to
others and their descendants, the Bishops
.

Did he happen to speak on cloning, invitro-fertilization, bioethics, etc.? If not, was the particular stance of the Church derived from a study of the principles outlined in scripture?

In John 20:30, and 21:25, John said, '...and there are MANY OTHER THINGS WHICH
JESUS DID, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even
THE WORLD ITSELF
COULD NOT CONTAIN THE BOOKS THAT SHOULD BE WRITTEN'.

This tells us that there are two areas of GOD'S Holy Word, the Holy
Scripture and Tradition.

Jesus was a busy guy! However, that simply tells us that not all of his deeds were recorded. Which would be the providence of God, yes? He would choose what is and what is not recorded, if He were to have authorship of the scriptures.

"Stupidity is the basic building block of the universe."
