Jesus called Simon Peter satan, saying Get thee behind me!
The scriptures say satan entered into Judas Iscariot, and he betrayed Jesus.
Jesus said the devil is the father of all lies,
and that all evil thoughts proceed from within, from the hearts of men.
The number of the beast is the number of a man.

To me, satan means one possesses many devils, an undesirable state of being,
and every devil has a non-Jesus saying for you to keep, and a flaming sword which consumes you.
If one keeps a saying that is not true, negative conquences are unavoidable.
They base actions on data that is incorrect, something unexpected will be the result.
Negative consequences is the judgment, is hell.
Unless, of course, one keeps only Jesus' sayings,
then the judgment is heaven, and only good things come to them

But this thing commanded I them, saying,
Obey My voice, and I will be your God,
and ye shall be My people:
and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you,
that it may be well unto you.
Jeremiah 7:23

For the LORD had said unto Moses,
Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people:
I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee:
therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee.
