Jasvon.

Jesus may have breathed His very breath into all of us, but that doesn't make us all Jesus. It sounds like you're saying that David and Jesus are one and the same but in different flesh bodies??? If you are, then that can't be true for Jesus is sinless while David was not.
Jesus said, "I am the root of David"
(as well as "the offspring", but we agree what that means.)

I'm told at another forum that "root of David" means that David is the root ancestor of Jesus,
making Jesus the offspring.

If Jesus saying He is "the root of David" means "David is the root of Jesus",
then why did Jesus have to say, root AND offspring?
By that meaning, isn't Jesus just saying I am the offspring And I am the offspring of David?
That doesn't make sense.
And many earlier scriptures already told us, Jesus is "of the seed of David" and "of the house of David".
So you tell me, why does Jesus have to add, "the root of David" to His already saying He is the offspring?
What's your opinion, what Jesus is trying to tell us?

Besides all that,
if Jesus said He is the root of David, I believe Him.
Understanding comes. The spirit leads you to other pieces of the picture.
Just file it in the knowledge bank, "Jesus is the root of David",
one day soon, another scripture pops up, and adds to my understanding of that,
later another, and so forth.
But if you reckon you already know the true understanding,
the true understanding can never come.

Take heed here Jasvon, you are still doing well.
There are some that can do no more than bluster "Jesus is God, you :#@%$@*!".
Every second verse in the Bible means "Jesus is God" to them,
and the every other verse says "Listen to the Church".

And the true meanings of the word escape them.
I'm exaggerating of course, but so you get my meaning.

Homework exercise.
Post quoting only sayings of Jesus,
to dispute a false doctrine which a Christian friend proclaimed.
Now watch them carefully, how they "but" Jesus word to keep their saying.

When you have done that for a while, and you will marvel,
the array of excuses and reasons is stupendous,
and some of their answers will astound you.
(and sometimes you even be proved wrong, and that's even better. A blessing.)

Then also, you will examine your self, how you have "butted" Jesus too.

Never mind. Reprove.
By little and by little we reprove our self, and understanding comes.
Prove all things by what Jesus said first, then by Moses and the prophets.
Keep the corrections you receive from your brothers and sisters, that you grow.

But if you believe on the Churches, to parrot their sayings,
you shall evermore remain as confounded as they.

Shan't you?
`Paul

Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you:
as My Father hath sent Me, even so send I you.
And when He had said this, He breathed on them,
and saith unto them,
Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them;
and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
