Hasah.

I remember 'Renew' from the 80's, my dad went to it but I was in CCD and then the Confirmation classes.. though he was in my Confirmation classes, not in my same group though. Ack... don't need to talk about past junk... cuz I was going to go into a story but it pertains to nothing. Got to walk w/out the foot in mouth so I don't rip more ligaments! :-) It was a Catholic Bible study, I think, but had nothing to do with the NAM. (as in new age movement)
You remember 'renew' from the 80s, but condemn me for believing it in the 20 00s
I can hardly understand your speech.
CCD, Confirmation classes, groups, junk, a story which pertains to nothing, foot in mouth walking, ripped ligaments.
You got all that from Catholic Bible study? You think?

Sounds as bad, if not worse than the NAM you experienced.
The NAM you described was a bunch of old superstitions.
The NAM was nothing like that to me.

The NAM to me was a movement of the heart.
It was about coming off war, and loving our neighbours, even our enemies,
about blessing those which cursed us,
and doing Acts of Random Kindness,
even to those that would use us spitefully.

We helped people, specially the downtrodden, and the underdog.
We came off striving after material possessions, and working for the man.
We lived communally, and put flowers in our long hair
`Paul

Create in me a clean heart, O God;
and renew a right spirit within me.
Psalm 51:10

Thou sendest forth Thy spirit, they are created:
and Thou renewest the face of the earth.
Psalm 104:30

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31

Turn Thou us unto Thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned;
renew our days as of old.
Lamentations 5:21
