NAM as in New Age Movement (not 'Nam as in Vietnam') is anything from wicca, iching (eastern religions), that fat guy you rub the tummy of for 'good luck'... hated that dumb statue as a kid, freaked me out for some reason, crystals for 'energy', spells, pendulums, NAM meditation as in 'empty your mind and create your ideal meditation spot'... used to walk people through that junk, not there anymore. Ouija boards, yes, let's contact the dead... but they're demons, not spirits of the 'deceased'. I am thankful I never could go to that 'church' where a medium would speak... that probably would've confused me even more back in those dumb days of mine. Of course my ol' Catholic coworker was answering my dumb questions back then and telling me he didn't think automatic writing & all that was from God but did I listen? No, cuz I was being dumb.

This weekend, totally NOT related to NAM... I want to find my old rosary, I know it has to be in the attic somewhere. Vaguely remember tossing it up there in my mad at Catholicism days. Why it keeps being heavy on my heart to find it, I don't know but it's bugging me.

I put the scriptures of the real NAM, God's renewal.
You hang onto this misconception of men to denounce the scriptures,
and that is a very old age technique of denial.
This what you put is an evil Christian doctrine, to instil fear and denial in you.

Hippies loved one another, even as Jesus (in truth, and with truth).
We opened the doors of our perception,
and we nurtured our fleshly hearts.
(We did not believe in the superstitions you listed there,
and you confess, you're dumping one set for another, crystals for rosary beads.)

Then came America's oil peak, and the majority turned back for security.
Ever wondered how America could afford a Moon space program and a war at the same time,
but as soon as the war was stopped, could no longer afford to go to the Moon again?
That was the day the music died.

But I had already been to see St Francis.
And now is the latter rain image

If you're going to San Francisco
Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair
If you're going to San Francisco
You're gonna meet some gentle people there

For those who come to San Francisco
Summertime will be a love-in there
In the streets of San Francisco
Gentle people with flowers in their hair

All across the nation
Such a strange vibration
People in motion
There's a whole generation
With a new explanation
People in motion
People in motion

For those who come to San Francisco
Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair
If you come to San Francisco
Summertime will be a love-in there

If you come to San Francisco
Summertime will be a love-in there
