Hi Hasah ,

Jesus said He wouldn't leave His Church, so yeah.
So yeah what ,we are commanded to have the faith of Christ in respect to the Popes opinion?

Once again, if you want to go by the Bible alone aka sola scriptura... did Christianity fall asleep until the Bible was made available to all?
The Bible ,the written Law of God ,does not declare that we must have the faith of Christ, in respect to the Pope, that particular law which you follow is after the commandments of the opinions men.

The "law of faith" has been in effect from day one, the completion of His law book verifies ..He is God, to put another god before Him in respect to the person of the Pope, is to break the first commandment ,breaking the second would naturally follow ,for at whatever point ,any man including the Pope breaks the least of the laws ,they come under the wrath of an altogether righteous God who does not wink at any sin ,break the least guilty of all of them. The idea of mortal and venial sins is not a biblical doctrine ,the wages of sin have never been reduced

For there is no respect of persons with God. For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;Rom 2:11-12

The Law cannot never make perfect what the perfect work of Christ's faith ,has.
