Guys, we disagree on everything. All we can do is a court case with facts, evidence, and logic.

We reason by Christ's work of faith..... alone, as far as an opinion in respect to that particular, work of faith (Holy Bible), by our brother in the Lord ,Peter, I know of no such infallible work.

Phi 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

If it was Peter who began this good work in us, we could look to his opinion as law, but it is not of Peter.... but is of Christ, the rock of our salvation.Because He cannot lie, we run to Him as our city of refuge , the New Jerusalem the mother of us all.

We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; 2Co 4:13

Garee,

STOP!!! You did it again!!!

There is not one Catholic teaching or person that ever said Peter began the good work in us, and not Christ.

You broke the commandment again. You bore false witness.

You're a 60-year old grown man, and you do that regularly. I wish Susan would call you on it; it's supposed to be different here.

This is clear evidence of how lacking non-Catholic Christians are without the sacrament of Confession. It's no big deal for some to just continue in the sin of lying, for their god of religious fun and games. "No big deal, I'll just wipe my feet on Jesus, the door mat, again; that's all He is after all, not The Almighty enthroned in Heaven who demands holiness of us."

Garee, go out in the woods, or out back wherever it is you live. Get alone and all by yourself. Then think about what the two great commandments are:

Love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength; and love your neighbor as yourself.

Then, realize the gravity of the sin of disparaging other people with no basis, except that you wish the lie was true for your religious convenience.

Then, tell Him that you're truly sorry and that you will never do it again.

Then think about how big and mighty and holy God is, and how He demands a holy life from us.

But that's not enough. Then you need to do penance, like Zaccheus. You have to public say "Jim, Radar, KennC, and all other Catholics here, I sincerely apologize for misrepresenting you and The Catholic Church, and I promise to not only not lie about it again, but to pray before each response, and be totally honest, sincere, and vulnerable, and give credit where credit is due, etc."

I know God certainly wants an apology, and I expect one too. I've been nothing but sincere and kind, and very patient throughout the regularity of having false witness borne against me and the church that I believe Christ has founded. If Jesus' sacrifice means anything at all in your life, it's time for you to apologize and have that sin put to rest at the cross once and for all.

As your brother who is working on his own imperfections,
Jim

Catholicism = Jesus Christ + NOTHING
Non-Catholic Christianity = Jesus Christ - LOTS
