Garee, you need to read history, too, with the Bible. How do you know what happened in 70AD when Jerusalem was destroyed? Do you throw away the writings of Josephus because his words are not Scripture?

I don't have a problem with history as long as we look at in under the light of God living words as the final law(authority) as the pillar and foundation of absolute truth, as to knowing God has spoken and we are not following the bias of a personnel heresy/opinion according to the paradigm, which I consider the wineskin of another.

Josephus, I beleive is a reliable source as a witness to how some men believed at that time period. We can learn some things from his writtings about the apostate Jews and the the false religion of Judaism of that time period , as it had developed to the place where they killed Christians because they would not bow down to authority of men who thought equality with God was something they could grasp, and even killed the author of Christianity, through thier EFC theology, by which a pagan "Queen of heaven" form of goverment was exercised..Where certain women even have power/ authority over the angels instead of following the kind of goverment as the law of God given in 1 Corintians 11, where women are to cover thier heads to show as a token to thier personel submission to the Spirit of Christ the fact that they are to silent and submit to the our living God, as it is written.

The church as the one Bride of Christ was created for the Husband the Creator not the other way around.

Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.For this cause ought the woman to have power(authority) on her head because of the angels. 1Co 11:9

Not authority over the angels, but because of the angels.

But like you said his words are not revealtions from God, his opinion/heresy is no higher than the opinion of our brother in the Lord Peter, or our sister Mary. In the end of the matter when all is said and done ,the faith to believe God, comes from God, and as "it" (faith of Christ) as His personnel labor of Love teaches us, we abide in Him, as the sole author and finisher of that reward of His grace, which alone teaches us to say no to ungodliness. And not coming from men who insist we must have a daysman between us and Christ..
