My grandmunchkin is here! |
Lead | |
|
He was born on Friday, after 2 arduous days of medical interference intervention, but worth every minute of
it! His name is Jacob Michael, he was 7 lb. 15 oz., and 22 inches long. The OB told her that she would never be able to deliver, that he was a 9.5 lb. baby,
and talked her into a C-section. My DIL invited me into the labor room, which I considered an honor. But after the OB came in, her mom & my son were like,
"just have the section." I was mildly irritated, to put it kindly. That doc just wanted to go home by 5pm. But all's well that ends well, and he
is even cuter than either of my own kids were at birth!

Awww, what a cutie. I'm glad little Jacob finally arrived, and that the process if finally over for your daughter-in-law.
But don't tell your son that his new son is cuter than he was! Radar |

Radar2007 wrote:He told me. Matt had a very difficult time being born. His head was turned and there was no way he would fit thru my pelvis. I tried everything, squatting, manual manipulation by the doc, everything that was "cutting edge" in 1983. He looked like the monster from the Goonies. But he is a handsome young man, upwardly mobile in an almost impossible state to make a living, a great son, a wonderful father and and awesome dad. Alex <3 Jesuits!

Wait 'til he's 13!13? Nah. My son is 29 and my twin daughters are 27. It ain't stopped yet.
It really doesn't make any difference. Just enjoy them while they are little because they grow up so fast. It doesn't seem like any time at all has passed since my daughters were the same age as my granddaughter is now - six, and starting the first grade.

Congratulations CLA!
My grandson will be a year old later this month, I am hoping to fly up to visit him on his birthday. I hope you live close by the adorable little Jacob so you get spend lots of time with him. He surely is a cutie.

chooselifealways wrote:Yes, and what made it even more interesting was that we didn't know it was twins. SURPRISE, says the doctor. It's Twins. However, my wife left us when my daughters were 6 (same age as my granddaughter is now) and my son was 8, so "saint" isn't really the word I'd use to describe her. I raised them all by myself. Looking back on it, it wasn't easy, but I wouldn't have had it any other way. |
